Jim Hollingsworth
Has organized and directed tournaments since 1978. Achieved Chess Expert status in July 1988. Chief Organizer of the 62nd annual US Armed Forces Open Chess Championships (Grapevine, Texas in 2021), the Texas Armed Forces Chess Open Chess Championships (2017, 2018), and the Texas Women's Chess Championship (2018, 2019). In 2024, US Chess awarded him the Meritorious Service Award for his 45 years of dedicated service to Chess. He is a life member of both US Chess and TCA.
