The Texas Chess Association welcomes your interest in bidding on our of our state championship events.
Bidding on a TCA event is a unique experience that allows you to serve the whole state and grows the reputation of your organization as an established organizer of prestigious chess events. Other benefits include:
- Use of the TCA name and logo in event advertising
- Handing out a state championship title
- Existing player familiarity with the event
- State championship status recognition in the US Chess list of upcoming tournaments
- Publicity assistance from TCA (such as Facebook posts, website posts or emails to members)
- Eligibility to award qualifying points for the Texas Master title
- Access to experienced TDs/organizers on the Board for questions and support
We award bids in two processes: competitive bidding and overdue bids. If you submit a bid before the bidding deadline, your bid will receive equal consideration compared to other timely submitted bids. If there are no satisfactory bids submitted by the deadline, the event is considered overdue and the first satisfactory bid received will be awarded. If the deadline has passed and no bidder is listed, the event is likely available for bidding, but check with the Vice President first.
