Bidding on TCA Events Just Got Easier!

You can now bid for most TCA tournaments by simply completing a Google form that consolidates all the requirements from the bidding guidelines. No more hassle of creating PowerPoints or drafting lengthy emails without knowing exactly what’s expected.

The bidding application is available here: Bidding Application.

If you’re interested in bidding, consider tournaments with overdue bids. TCA policy generally awards the bid for tournaments to the first acceptable bidder if no bids are received by the deadline. The following tournaments are currently available for bidding:

  • Texas Open
  • Texas Armed Forces Championship
  • Texas Action Championship
  • Texas Junior Open
  • Texas Junior Team Championship
  • Texas Quick Championship
  • Texas Women’s Championship

You can submit bids for these events for 2024, 2025, or both. For detailed information about any of these events, refer to the TCA bylaws and bidding guidelines.

Please note that this application is not for major or regional events. For regional tournaments, please contact your regional director.

Disclaimer: In the case of an opportunity arising, the TCA may choose to run any of its events and/or accept a bid more than two years in advance and may organize the major tournament.

If you have questions or need more information about the bidding process, feel free to reach out to the Vice President at caleb@texaschess.org.
