2022 Texas Girls’ Championship, a State Championship Event, will be held at the Plains Capital Bank El Gran Salon, Brownsville Campus of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley on Saturday, September 24, 2022. The event is hosted by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Only Texas female residents or students enrolled in secondary or primary schools (including home schools) in Texas may play in this event. This is a USCF rated event (for both Regular and Quick ratings). USCF membership is required to participate.
System of Competition: 5 rounds, Swiss System, 30 minutes per game per player with 5 seconds of delay (G/30; d5). Round 1 starts at 10 am. 5 sections: K-1, Primary School, Elementary School, Middle School, High School.
Entry fee: $30 by 9/19, $40 by 9/23, $50 on 9/24. Entries on 9/24 will be permitted up to 30 minutes before the first round. Players not registered by the cutoff time shall be paired from Round 2 only, unless the Chief Tournament Director decides otherwise.
