Nearly 400 scholastic players participated in the 2024 North Central Texas Scholastic Chess Championship in Houston over the first weekend of March. FM Sharvesh Deviprasath and NM Lucius Melillo led the High School Championship section with 6.5 and 6.0 points respectively. Christian Karlseng followed them with 5.5 and six players with 5.0.
