Playing in his first ever rated tournament, Swar Kevadia scored 2.0/5 points and achieved an impressive Class I rating at Saturday’s Region III Scholastic Championships. The 2020 Region III Championships featured 312 players, 6 tournament directors, and lots of coaches, parents and volunteers. North Texas Chess Academy sponsored the event in Lewisville.
Young Master Kevadia is a Kindergarten student at Universal Academy, a 1500-student charter school in Carrollton. His chess coach is Pardeep Hundal.
